ENGINE

CLEAN POWER

Vega L80 tractors have a 2.4 lt Kohler engine, providing 75 HP. Turbocharged by a Turbo Intercooler, it is equipped with an EGR system alongside a DOC catalyst to reduce emissions and enhance operational efficiency.

The latest generation Common Rail engine ensures precise injection control, and therefore a more efficient combustion, improved performance and less fuel consumption.

Counter-rotating shafts of the engines reduce vibrations and noise for higher operating comfort.

ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT

The electronically-managed engines have an electronic control unit that ensures a correct operation of the power unit and sets constant rpms.

The engine rpm electronic management was developed entirely by BCS Group. Located at the right of the steering wheel, it operates speed increase/decrease, speed setting and recalling, electronic governor switching off, and shifting to idle speed.

4 ranges and 4 speeds for a total of 16 ratios in both forward and reverse, with synchronized reverser.

TRANSMISSION

SYNCHRONIZED GEARBOX

The synchronised gearbox is formed by 4 ranges and 4 speeds, for a total of 16 ratios both in forward and reverse, with synchronised reverser.

The logic sequence of speeds (from 0.4 mph to 25 mph) - without any overlapping for all ranges - allows you to select the best gear for the required use, making the tractor’s use more efficient with regards to fuel saving, reduced stress on mechanical components, reduced engine strain, and, above all, improved quality of work.

LONG LIFE CLUTCH

The multi-disc oil bath clutch is hydraulically controlled and electronically managed for a more precise and softer engagement, outperforming any traditional dry clutch.

ELECTROHYDRAULIC REVERSER

Vega L80 transmissions can be equipped with the exclusive electronically-operated reverser with EasyDrive® electronic handling.

The comfortable reverser lever on the left of the steering wheel allows the operator to reverse the driving direction without lifting their hands from the steering wheel and without using the clutch pedal, while keeping vehicle control and working comfortably.

The EasyDrive® electrohydraulically-operated reverser is especially handy and easy to use for jobs requiring many direction changes, such as greenery maintenance, material handling with fork lift, snow moving, or maneuvering in vineyards and orchards.

AGILITY

STEERING

All specialized tractors must be easy to maneuver in order to operate in very narrow areas.

Vega L80 tractors have an unmatched maneuvering ability, thanks to their short wheelbase and compact dimensions. Steering is power assisted through a dedicated hydraulic system. Maneuvers are precise and turning radiuses are very tight, especially in DualSteer® versions.

DUALSTEER®

Dualsteer® is internationally patented and unique on the market: a double steering system featuring two hydraulic cylinders joining the central joint of the frame to the steering of the front wheels. The steering angle can reach 70°.

TOP EFFICIENCY

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The hydraulic system has two circuits with independent pumps and heat exchanger for oil cooling.

The pump for the power steering and electro-hydraulic controls has a flow rate of 33 l/min, while the pump for lifts and remote control valves a flow rate of 30 l/min. An oversized system is optional, with lift pump with flow rate of 49 l/min.

JOYSTICK

The new electronically-operated multifunction joystick allows the hydraulic system and the lifts to be controlled at the same time through a single device. All operations involving the tractor hydraulic system can be performed safely and easily.

Joystick sensitivity is instantly adjusted from a dial on the armrest.

PTO AND LIFTS

The rear PTO, with a multi-disc clutch in oil bath, is independent from the transmission and is synchronized with all progress speeds. It can also be engaged while driving through an electrohydraulically-operated control located on the dashboard (equipped with safety system for involuntary operation); the speed is 540 RPM.

The sturdy rear lift has multipurpose fittings (category 1 and 2) to fit all attachments simply and quickly. The high lifting capacity of 5070 lbs increases to 5950 lbs for SDT differentiated wheels versions.

The Ferrari Vega AR, reversible isodiametric tractors with steering wheels, are considered the version of reference for the specialized sector.

The compact dimensions and reduced turning radius make the Ferrari Vega AR an irreplaceable machine, able to perform all the tasks it was designed for in the best possible way. A width of just 40 inches and the wheelbase under 60 inches, make this tractor the best in the category.

The new transmission is integrated with the OS-Frame: one shaft and one central joint guarantee high transmission power to the wheels and power take-off, for maximum reliability. The driving position is reversible, making it even more useful for farm work, in municipal sectors, and for working in green areas.

The Ferrari Vega RS, with steering wheels, is the traditional version of the Vega series suitable for the widest variety of uses. The compact overall dimensions, high power, and proper weight distribution on the axles with the machine under a working load, make these tractors unbeatable in vineyards and orchards.

The gear ratios, always progressive and without overlaps, OS-Frame transmissions, and the hard double circuit hydraulics with independent pumps and a heat exchanger guarantee the best performance among specialized tractors.

The driving position is reversible, making it even more useful for farm work, in municipal sectors, and for working in green areas.

The Ferrari Vega DualSteer® combines the basic elements of the tractor using a central articulation (AR) with those of a steering wheel tractor (RS): the result guarantees maximum performance and maneuverability in any task.

The double steering system of the Ferrari Vega DualSteer is exclusive to Ferrari tractors and guarantees a truly unique performance which is impossible to find in other machines of this kind: steering angles of 70° and a turning radius of just over six feet.

The Vega DualSteer system also optimizes the trim of the machines making them particularly stable and capable of delivering the highest performance on slopes. Just like the RS and AR versions, the DualSteer driver position is reversible.
